Cyril Cusack

Cyril Cusack (November 26, 1910 – October 7, 1993) was an Irish actor, who appeared in numerous films and television productions in a career lasting more than 70 years.[]

Cusack was born in Durban, Natal, South Africa. His mother was an English Cockney actress and chorus girl, and his father an Irish mounted policeman in Natal Province, South Africa.

First Marriage[]

Maureen Cusack (born Mary Margaret "Maureen" Kiely, November 24, 1920 – December 18, 1977) was an Irish actress. She was a leading actress at Dublin's Gate Theatre with transfers to London's West End in the late 1940s, she also was part of the Abbey Theatre Dublin in 1948 as a visiting company member with The Lyric Theatre Company.

On April 5, 1945, she and Cyril Cusack married and had five children:

Sinéad Cusack (born February 18, 1948) is an Irish stage, television and film actress. Her first acting roles were at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, before moving to London in 1975 to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. She has received two Tony Award nominations, including once for Best Leading Actress in Much Ado About Nothing (1985).

Cusack married British actor Jeremy Irons in 1978, and together they have two sons: Samuel (b. 1978), and Max (b. 1985).

Sorcha Cusack (born April 9, 1949) is an Irish actress who has made many film and television appearances including The Bill, Casualty (as Staff Nurse / Ward Sister Kate Wilson from 1994 to 1997), the 1973 BBC adaptation of Jane Eyre, and the film Snatch (as the traveller mother of Mickey, played by Brad Pitt). In 1998, she played Mother Duck on the cartoon The First Snow of Winter in UK Version.

She has made numerous appearances on television including a long-running role as Dr. Kate Rowan in the UK series Heartbeat (1992–1995).
